KODAVAS are marginalized in Kodagu due to low numerical strength and are exploited in view of their poor economic presence. The economically predominant segment dominates social sphere in the society. Therefore, Kodavas have to be transformed as entrepreneurs and surge as economically dominant community in Kodagu.
Under these circumstances and keeping in view of the present scenario, few like-minded Kodava entrepreneurs joined together and launched a TRUST under the name WELFARE ASSOCIATION OF KODAVA ENTREPRENEURS (WAKE) and registered vide Reg. No. IV - 2017/18-24-27 dated 21/05/2017.
